Buffer does that. Puts loads of effort into rolling his tongue for the Spanish names but can't get a simple English name right. He used to do WCW wrestling for years and was always getting names wrong. Bret Hart was Bret Clark once.
Alright, alright, Buffer is f*cking human. You are going to make mistakes every once in a while - no one is perfect.
^^^ Mistakes with records/judges/referees/sponsors are forgivable. He ****ed up the most important thing he does; hes no Jimmy Lennon Jr. :bart
Poor Darren I bet he had dreamt of that moment for years. Finally after all the hard work you put in, you have the legend that is Buffer giving you the big build up in a HBO main event. He finally gets to your name and you can't wait to hear it in the epic Buffer roar....."Darrennn..............BAKER!" Sadly I think Buffer might be shot, definitely prefer Lennon Jr. at the moment.
Is it me or does Buffer seem disinterested these days. He's lost his hunger. Genuine mistake but it was disrespectful to Barker
It's unforgivable really from a proffesional standpoint, this is the main event of the evening & for those in attendance & the millions watching around the world "GET THE CONTESTANTS ****IN NAMES RIGHT"
Nice touch from Lou DiBella in an article on Sports Illustrated. QUOTE "I haven't seen a fighter that disrespected before a fight in a long time," said Lou DiBella, who promotes Martinez. "I think everybody knows who Darren Barker is now." Read more: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/20...tinez.defeats.barker/index.html#ixzz1ZdPisZIb
