I dont recall Craig ever being stopped in over 300 am fights, so how the **** you's all think Barker would stop him is a bit ****ed up.

theres only one prediction for a barker stoppage in the whole thread :patsch

personally, i like barker but mcewans level of comp has been pretty superior to barkers so far. close fight but i'm leaning towards barker. on points!

Barry, Andy Lee was stopped by Brian Vera and was struggling against him for about 3 minutes prior to the stoppage. Vera fought an unfit McEwan in the next fight and was outclassed. Andy just hasn`t lived up to his promise
yet, though I hope he does eventually.
Frankly, I think that Barker would have problems with Vera, though I have to say, I was impressed with Barker the last time I saw him. Sadly, McEwan v Barker won`t happen as Golden Boy Promotions lacks imagination!

Grendal did you know andy dropped vera in the 1st round then beat him around the ring for 5 rounds then all of a sudden lost stamina and couldnt defend himself and lost the fight.did you know andy beat mcewan everytime they fought in the amateurs and john duddy beat him once also.did you know every opponent andy lees fought since vera is miles better than vera in every way?? now i know what manny steward said andy was going to be and i cringe thinking about it... but id bet my bottom dollar andy lee beats mcewan and barker right now....

Duddy is very average face first hype job who will lose to any decent opponent. Lee is only a little better.

Barker is a decent domestic fighter who I doubt will go any further. He has talent but not too much of a punch and can be hurt. I doubt he will get to Euro level. Not seen much of McEwan but I have heard the hype from the Scottish posters and read that he has decent in his career so far against decent opponents so credit to him. I do not mean to bash the Irish fighters again but on this occaision I think Duddy and Lee are just hype and little more. Put them in a ring with crude bangers and we have entertaing fights, add Moore and Macklin and we can see a wonderful Irish super 4 contest, sure we can find two more guys around the same weight but put either Duddy or Lee in with anyone with any class and they will lose.

Well I interpreted the "Barker wins Easy" and "
warren doesnt promote either. barker takes mcewan apart " as counting as stoppage predictions so at that time I thought we had 3.
In my book if a boxer wins easy or takes someone apart their probably stopping their opponent.

Barry, check it out on youtube, Vera slipped in the 1st round and Andy was shipping too much of Vera`s artillery throughout the fight. He didn`t "suddenly" run out of steam; he was worn down, which was Vera`s game plan. The question, though, is " can Lee learn from it and come back?" That is what we should address and the answer , so far, does not look to positive, to be frank.

I would like to see McEwan fhave one or two fights in the UK (preferably in Scotland) first against someone who is contention for the title, but then it could make an interesting contest
