Round 8 Byrne is dancing around and throwing high flurries. Jones puts up the jab and follows with the heavily turned over right hand. Byrne is slapping away Calzaghe-style with the left while moving around Jones, and tying up when he runs out of gas. Jones keeps skipping inside and jabbing at the body. Byrne flurries over Jones' head, then ducks back into a corner. FLUSH right hand by Byrne. No effect. Byrne ties up. Jones lands a hard right of his own, knocking Byrne's head back. HARD right again by Jones! Byrne almost trapped in a corner. Jones loads up and misses a giant overhand right, but catches Byrne with the follow-up left hook and knocks him nearly over sideways. Byrne is batted around, back across the ring and into a corner. Byrne flurries back at Jones, eating a jab as he lands. 10-9 Jones 76-76
Jim Watt is senile,Byrne countered the **** out of Jones during the 7th,whilst Jones landed nothing, and Watt gave the round to Jones !!!!:huh
The last two were close. Byrne was outworking him (as he was in the first two, only to a lesser extent) but was also knackered, and Jones was hurting him to the body here and there.
