Yeah, but it was a huge knockdown. Gary Lockett probably figured "OK, we'll give our boy a slim chance to show us something here, but if Barker lands 2-3 more unanswered shots..." - and he did, immediately.
Barker acknowledges that he needed several minutes to shake the ring rust. He credits members of his team for whipping him into fantastic shape. Barker says he's still hungry for a world title, and wants to provide the best future possible for his 2-year-old daughter. He says it was in his character to battle back from his medical issues, and says there are people in much worse situations than him so he can't much dwell on it, and that he's lucky to be doing what he loves. Barker is a cool dude.
Neither Barker nor Eddie Hearn (nor trainer Tony Sims) comment upon whether his quest for a world title is going to be at 160 or here where he's just picked up a minor belt. :think
