I'd love Barker to take this, seemed like a cool guy in the Primetime studio during the Kessler-Froch fight, but Ghevor is a friggin tough mofo, who comes forward, who's fought Sturm and Abraham, and i think he'l have too much for Barker, especially on Barkers last showing.
I hope not tho, and Barker can live up to the hype, especially after his showign on the last Henesey card on ITV4 against Butler.

 

This will be a very interesting fight. Barker seems to have all the class in the world but his last performance was awful. Gevor will show us exactly what he is made of.

 

it wasn't that his last performance was awful. It was more to do with the fact that The Frenchman would not let Barker off the hook. And Barker was found as a target on more than one occasion.
He needs to figure out his opponents much quicker in fights to stand at a higher level.

 

Or Barkers injury was causing him problems ?

 

Look. Boxers have injuries and fight on them all the time. If he had an injury that wasn't a broken hand, or a bad cut or something that is going to be a MAJOR disadvantage then get in the ring and don't use it as an excuse.

 

He is not making excuses is he ? I am saying the injury he had , would have affected his last couple of performances. But in the last fight became apparent that it needed to be fixed. I also will be surprised if his next fight is in the next 6 months .

I like Dazzling Darren. He needs to use his nut a bit more though. He could have looked a million dollars keeping the Frenchie off him with his nice jab, and moving in and out, rather than struggle with him on the inside. The French fella was tough as ****. The scoring was attrocious in that fight also

 

Who is Gevors promoter?

a win over him send Barker into world class. He is top 10 with everyone including the ring. and he is 3rd with ESB

 

he needs to have that definative fight though that confirms what many people think about barker though IMO.

 

Universum are his promoter. Also have TV deal issues.

Could be intresting. Would love to see Warren or Maloney come in for this. Would be a big ticket seller in London.
