barker wins easy on points, macklins style is made for him.

 

im with gazoc on this, i smell a lot of fights gettin cancelled, the amount of times warren has done this super card bollocks and then a week before injurys an stomache aches turn up.

if barker/macklin did go ahead i think barker would be fairly game up to the mid rounds but macklin will catch up with him wobbling barker around the 8th only for the ref to jump in in the 9th.

i agree with this, the so called waiting for fights to get bigger is ****ing wank , if the fans want the fight now give it to them cause unless there big superstars we wont care as much futhur down the line.

every boxer seems to think they will get to world level when its easy to see they wont so just make the best fights in the domestic scene and if u win these big domestic fights u got a good name for yourself to move on.

I'd back Macklin, but can't honestly see this fight happening.

 

Why do you say that. I know Macklin is 100% committed and said that only way it wont happen is if Barker walks away from it?

 

It's like Brook v Jennings. Been scheduled a few times before and something has always come in the way of it. I think it's too risky a fight for both men at this point and one of them will pull out-most likely Barker.

I hope it happens, I like Macklin and I thin he'll go far. But this fight, I've got a feeling it won't happen.

Hence the reason he made the comment - he also added that if Barker received a shot at a world title between now and the fight then you would understand if he walked away, but qualified that by saying if he walked away for any other reason than that then he would consider it a duck!

 

we shall see. I don't get why people think Barker will walk away. Macklin even talking about it is pot calling kettle....

barker has never pulled out of a fight before. macklin has a history of doing so.

 

Macklin by KO7 is my prediction.

I agree with this, but he has enough talent to give Macklin a good fight, who could well be overlooking Barker by the sounds of some of the reports ive been reading on the net lately.

Should be a good fight, I just hope it lives up to the likes of Moore-Macklin etc.
