Hello ikeabuchia, Sutherland boxed way below par today. I think the occasion got to him. But I agree with you, that Darren will make a great pro. I've often told anyone that is willing to listen, that Sutherland will be an "Irish Nigel Benn":bbb

Ardy You bang on there mate, I just dont kow how he slipped under my radar, If no one can see his talent, then they simply dont know boxing
I would say after watching boxing for 40 years This guy a gem. (a very big statement but I can see it clear as daylight)
you just watch when he turns pro, watch all the haters at the begining praising him how good he is ....well tough I knew this from the start same as you ardy and most true boxing fans
    #:happy

Articulate to the last. The kid is 16, if you a man of well as you say over 40 knocked out a 16 year old then frankly you are a dickhead.

So as you most probably did not

I said before the fight that Sutherland was 'tailor-made' for Degale, and so it proved. Easiest fight to predict the outcome so far involving a British fighter

Just like Mohamad Abdulaev is bigger than Miguel Cotto........wait :patsch

To be fair Degale does look good at the moment, but it'll be hard to tell how he'll transition to the pros.

no come on,this is really the first time degale got the better of darren in 6 fights, the other fight degale won between the two he was very lucky.de gale boxed very well and showed some lovely footwork, but the occasion certainly got to darren who has the style to make a very good pro, while we can't be too sure of how de gale will transition, we have to remember that darren still leads 4-2 h2h,darrens left hook is something of real pleasure and im sure that while he is working his way up the ranks it will knock many a journeymen out.

great olympic performance from darren who has a style that has no business getting a medal at the games.

He went undefeated for five years and utterly dominated his weight class, losing one fight (To a former Gold Medalist) doesn't change all the good things he's done. For those who have seen him fight over the past years there is no denying his ability, I for one think he'll make a great pro given his style and talent.

Sutherland's style also will also trasfer well into the pros. From what I can see he has a good punch and is a very solid pressure fighter with tight defence, all assets that will serve him well in the future. Losing one fight in the amateurs isn't the end of the world.

Well, they've fought each other five times before this, and Sutherland only lost once. So it couldn't have been that easy to predict. :D
