He was pretty much retired before his last fight too, but like that he'd be prepared to get into the ring if the money was right, and I'm sure Jim wouldn't mind a nice high profile fight.

Rock, Lee, Macklin and Duddy should have their own little set of fights in Ireland.

Rock would be up for it he would fight anyone for a payday. How many Irish belts does he hold now ? One less if Sutherland gets in the ring with him thats for Sure.

I think Sutherland is doing the right thing by making a name for himself in the UK , there is no money in boxing in Ireland at the moment. Unless your Bernard The Champ Dunne.

he's said to me on three occasions that he is retired. The first was post Takaloo.

However, this time I think he is serious

It's not a question of whether he's retired or not though.......it's a question of how much Jim wants. I mean if you offered Jim £1 million he'd jump at it.
Every man has his price, and now that Jim is retired again his price might be more than it used to.......maybe more than is enough to make the fight happen.

But there's no doubt if they're willing to pay him enough, Jim will fight.

Sutherland is a quality fighter and my pick from all the new pros for huge success. He's looking very strong at the weight and is already fighting like a compact pro. Gonna enjoy watching him develop and think he'd give Rock a war even at this early point of his career.

I am assured that Mrs. Rock has had enough of this particular grandad engaging in the pugilistic art - especially as he trains/ed in Belfast.

Hes not overrated, just over hyped as its to early to make the brash predictions Maloney is making. But the lad himself knows he has a lot to learn and his feet seem firmly planted on the ground.:deal

The Dazzler needs rounds in him and these 2 fights this week will be of great benefit to him. I can see him moving up to a 10 round fight after these 2 fights and up against a better seasoned fighter. He needs to move along quicker than the other Olypians as he is older. I dont think he will fight any of the Olypians as he is going to be moving up the levels quicker than they are.
