Graham had terrible luck, but the gap is so wide here, that Graham couldn't blow it.

He beats the crap outta Van Horn.

Graham was extremely good. Van Horn was not, he was just good.

Depends on if someone whispered ‘this is a big fight’ into the Bomber’s ear.

That was usually all it took to send him into a tailspin.

Barkley gave him a hammering down. Poor Darrin was beaten at the pre fight press conference when Barkley looked like a psycho with his eyes and spoke of walking through DVH’s punches like he walked through gangs, walls and windows in the Bronx.

Really? This man only lost to the great Mike McCallam because he had a point deducted.Dont think he would have got that close if his head was in a tailspin

If Graham had to fight the likes of Robert Hines for a world title he’d have won with ease, If Van Horn had to fight the likes of Mike McCallum, Julian Jackson and Sumbu Kalambay he’d have also lost only much worse than Herol did.

Van Horn had a decent body punch on him, but with his lack of a jab and very limited offensive footwork (he could dance a bit on the outside, but that's a different proposition to cutting the ring off) I don't see him getting close enough to land it all that often. He also fought in spurts so isn't likely to tire Graham out in the late rounds as a couple of other guys (McCallum, Brewer etc.) did.

I think Graham has some fun in this one and totally outclasses Van Horn. Could even see the School Boy becoming so demoralized he's pulled out or quits on his stool the way Mark Kaylor did against Graham. Just too limited, hittable and predictable to deal with Graham's bag of tricks. Comfortable night for Herol.

Boxing is the only sport where you’re defined by who you lost to rather than who you beat.

What big fight did Bomber Graham ever win?

I went with graham. More proven at the world level. Vanhorn was a decent fighter and I give him credit for achieving what he did starting so young. But he was also largely protected
