Van Horn's problem is that fight was that he tried to brawl with Barkley, and he didn't have the power to comfortably do so. But good Lord, Iran was wide open in that fight.
LIndell Holmes disgraced himself with his losing performance to Van Horn.He was past it, but still it was pathetic stuff.
I disagree. Van Horn went toe to toe with Iran and landed a lot of good punches in that first round. I remember watching quite a few Van Horn fights and always thought of him as a very good fighter. He wasn't a great fighter, but a pretty good fighter.
I'd agree with this. He was better at 154. Neither his defense, nor his chin improved with the move up in weight.
