If i were boxing professionally I reckon I would share your mentality. Fighting a true great is not just about the money. It would be awesome just to go in and give it everything, and be able to tel people thatyou fought one of boxings true legends. It sounds dumb, but you don't really have anything to lose. No one is expecting you to win, so if you lose then really you have lost nothing, but if you win the skys the limit.

 

Anyone who knows John "Digger" Wyborn knows he is like the Emmanual Augustus of Aussie boxing, the guy fought from supermiddle to heavy on a moments notice and always gave a good effort. At the very least he made the fights suprisingly close, sometimes getting the upset.
To most these were shock upsets but the guys who have seen Digger over the years knew that if you didnt take John seriously you could easily loose.

Thats a fight Mark cant erase but honestly Wyborn is no slouch, he could beat most of the guys that Haumano, N. Briggs and Hoppa etc recycle.

 

barge ,wyborn dropped briggs and mirovic too, and hurt homouno bad, he can hit, i went in underdone and wild and he made me pay, no substitute for experience. have a look at the record of alexis arguello, knocked out by 3-6 guy in his 11 th fight, have a look at joe bugners record, knocked out in his first fight, mike weaver, 1 win 3 looses after 4 fights, your only as good as your last fight, they didnt quit and look what happened, millions more examples, fans are obsessed with records

I live in the USA and I'll tell you this:Rocky has done more for boxing in Australia then Mundine ever will.
And remember Mundine said the USA deserved the attack on 9/11.It was a cruel and unjust statement.
I would never pay to see Mudine fight because of that statement.
