What has he been doing since Guerrero quit after 2 rounds rather than fight? He had some good pop and in my opinion, was on his way to winning over the Ghost. I heard somewhere that GBP had options on Yordan. Dude is only 21 and looks like he's ready for Top 10 comp.
I believe GBP is actually his US co-promoter, not just options. Hopefully we get the chance to see him soon, but don't be shocked if he spends a lot of the next few years fighting in TV studios in Indonesia. What little we saw of him looked pretty decent.
Damn shame. I think of a lot of foreign prospects who are co-promoted by Americans only to be used as fodder for the homegrown prospects on short notice, disadvantaged weights, etc. Hopefully this doesn't happen to Yordan. I think he would've won and you would've at least seen him in a title fight on HBO.
