Rumored to be part of the Latimore-Spinks card in May....

Might be a little much for Witherspoon at this time, but I guess they need to see if he has anything worth pursuing...

    Thoughts?

Witherspoon should take this one. If not he should stop boxing.

This is one of those fights where I'd be interested in hearing the outcome, but I'd have no interest whatsoever in watching the fight itself. It's a good gauge for Witherspoon. He needs to be at the point of beating a Williamson if he's going to amount to anything.

This is a very winnable fight for Witherspoon. He's not the hardest hitter, but Williamson has one of the worst chins in the division, so it might very well produce a KO victory for Chazz.

Good step up for Witherspoon. Williamson. although still competitive, is a gatekeeper at this point.

TOS should win this by UD.

I want Chazz to win tho he grew up like 15 mins down the road.

Chazz can box his way to a decision... In the Arreola, he tried too much to show that he has heart... He'll go back to boxing and get the win... Williamson is borderline 40 and coming off of a knockout loss....

I don't know..Witherspoon looked really vulnerable to the overhand right in the Arreola fight, and Williamson has both the jab and the power to make Chazz pay.

Witherspoon isn't exactly a KO artist (16 KOs in 25 fights against limited opposition), so I don't see him taking Williamson out with one punch, and while Williamson has shaky whiskers, he doesn't have a terrible chin. He did take some big shots from Klitschko, McCall and Jefferson...

Kinda be interested to see if this fight gets made and how it turns out...

Williamson was a top amateur for years fighting outside of Colorado. Hopefully he can make a good name for himself when it's all said and done. He did manage to score a KD against Wlad in their fight.

witherspoon IMO was/is and always will be a very average /fighter.

so is williamson, but williamson has genuine power and witherspoon none , so i think if williamson lands a decent punch in this fight it is over.

TOS had a fight in Panama after his KO loss and took care of the guy in 2. Although older, he is working with a new trainer that is the real deal. Hope they make this happen!

Wow, they're just trying to make this the most boring card in the history of boxing.
