I bet he wasn't asked that question, I bet he asked himself that and he answered it with as much honesty as he has defence in the ring. What keeps Dave Allen going is wanting money and wanting attention and I'd have far less of a problem with that if he could just admit it rather than acting like he's some humble hero.

Rumour is boxxer are announcing a heavyweight signing on Monday. Could it be???

 

We all know Allen is limited boxer that has been given opportunities aand pay days way beyond his skill level he derserved. Allen livded a poor life style outside of ring training wise and has squandered the talent he does have due to this.

That said I've always likes Allen for genuine honesty. Allen is a semi decent level British level boxer at his best as he proved with his KOs over Webb and Browne.

I'd like to see him come back and have a 50/50 fight (if he could get back to best) against someone he could potentially win against like Babic or Gorman.

 

Don't let Lucas Browne and Dorian Darch taking dives fool you, I have a feeling Nebo or whatever his name was took a dive too. The real Dave Allen is the one who went life and death with Bracamonte, got battered by David Price and got outpointed by Lenroy frigging Thomas. Babic would take it on points, Gorman too. Fighting man Allen bottled it when Dubois was on the table, he went away and promptly retired when the Darch fight was investigated

He's living off this myth that he's a massive puncher with the toughest chin in history, will fight anyone, anywhere anytime and is apparently funny.

He's not a massive puncher, he couldn't KO Lenroy Thomas who Joe Joyce destroyed without breaking sweat.
His chin is half decent but it's his legs that have created the myth, he's been out on his feet a number of times.
He bottled Dubois so he won't fight anyone.
He's really not funny, he's tragic and needs professional help.
