Random choice, I guess Parker is trying to find a relatively safe fight against an opponent with some name recognition while he waits for his title shot?

He should just KO some random if he wants to stay active. I would have liked the Joyce or Whyte revenge match, but I don't think that is realistic anymore.

 

Also any clue what kind of money Allen would pull in for this fight? I know Parker isn't exactly a money spinner, but he has a had a few decent paydays in the UK when paired against a known Brit.

 

Did Parker get blackballed or something? Kind of bizarre that he was given a few Turki paydays against Wilder and Zhang then supposed to get a title shot against Dubois but now can't seem to find a quality fight. Bit odd.

 

Parker avoiding legit opponents yet again. He did this for YEARS then had run out of 'tune-ups' and basically had to fight a few riskier options. Now he got some wins he's back at this. This is disgraceful, honestly. People need to call it out.

Look, Allen is better than he thinks in a way, but he himself stated he believes he's British level and wants to stay there as he's sick of getting beat up. Now he's sitting on his couch watching reality tv and stuffing his face with chips and getting chased around for a fight with Parker? Parker, who was just complaining about Usyk not fighting him? Wtf is that. Go fight a top-ranked HW you weirdo.

 

Parker has been fighting top ranked HWs most of his career, literally has one of the best CVs of any active fighter in the divison and is currently trying to fight the champs.

From Parker's perspective why would he take a risk? He has a guaranteed title shot, if not the full title via elevation later this year. It looks like he still wants to fight a top 15 opponent prior to this as well and there is not actually that many available and willing, maybe Ajagba? Or Bakolie again?

Kabayel is the obvious choice but he is also waiting on a title shot. Prior to Turki's involvement it would be the norm that guys in Parker and Kabayel's positions wouldn't take any risks and wait for their shot.

 

Parker is interim champion and Allen(the 14th best British HW) does not deserve a title shot. His resume against decent opponents is awful.

 

Bro, it´s one fight. Parker wants a crack at the WBO belt, let him have it.
