To think that had he beat the Plumber, he would have been put in against Povetkin! Even that Povetkin would have put a sustained and brutally painful beating on Allen. I wouldn't mind seeing him mix it up on the domestic scene to be honest. He'd win some and lose some, make a few quid and would add a bit of spice without him taking too much damage. It wouldn't surprise me if that incident with Usyk was the after effects of a concussion that he hadn't fully recovered from. If he lives the life and looks after himself properly, he can still be somewhat relevant. If he gets passed medically fit to fight by the BBBofC I don't see there being a problem.

Apart from not having any ability (which is his main problem), Dave also never took the sport seriously, rarely trained and was generally out of shape almost every time he had a fight. He does however have an absolutely incredible chin. That's a lethal combination in heavyweight boxing. British title level now means Gorman, Wardley, and worst of all for Dave, it means Adeleye. Dave would get beaten up and hurt by all three, so if he has to have 4-5 small hall fights for pennies just to possibly get a fight which he will lose and get hurt in (which itself is hardly going to make him millions) I don't see the point in him returning and risking his health, he has already taken far too many beatings most notably from Price and Yoka which were absolutely horrible fights to watch.
The training videos on Allen’s Instagram have been absolutely amateur looking and atrocious. Even his latest conditioning clips just look like your average bloke in the gym (or brick garage) with no clue.
