He thinks Bakole is all wrong for Usyk and the only people who would give Bakole trouble right now are Zhang, Fury and AJ.

Bakole has the most potential and could beat any heavyweight under the right circumstances

Fury & Usyk will retire this year following their rematch. So it's all open for the taking.

The only thing guaranteed in the HW division going forward is AJ getting chinned again.

He's been hit too many times in the head. Bakole was beaten by Hunter who Usyk dominated. Yes triangle theories but Bakole would be lost against Usyk's movement.

6 years is a long time for good progressing heavyweights. Bakole has had most of his expierance in the division with sparring in those 6 years against top brass....I mean EVERYONE. Kabayel is the same and now neither are sparing partners to anyone no more. Bakole can beat anyone if the stars are aligned.

He'd be lost against Usyk's movement...but you can only move so much see Dubious bodyshot. Bakole himself put Usyk over in sparring. Thankfully both Fury & Usyk will retire in Dec.

Bakole's improved since that loss to Hunter but not by that much, plus he's about 30lbs heavier so is even less mobile than before.

Bokole has done well beating Anderson and Yoka but lets be honest those guys prove nothing as to how he'll deal with Usyk as those guys stand right in front of you and have too lead because they don't know how to counter. Bakole will find it much harder to land on Usyk and we know Bakole has to stop him early because he doesn't have the gas tank to fight hard for more than half the fight. He couldn't even stop Yoka, how is he meant to stop someone as elusive and as durable as Uysk? Answer he doesn't.

Mobility is not a 250+ pound mans game unless their name is Tyson Fury

Zhang, Joyce & Bakole are better with their maturity mass.

    bahaha are you ok

So you think Goerge Foreman held his own with age by magic? Maturity mass. Joyce put on 40 pounds same with Zhang & Bakole. That's not nothing. That's how much Usyk weighs.

He looks better all the time.

Plus, didn't one of the announcers say Bakole got on the treadmill at their hotel and just ran for an hour. Just running.

He's still pretty fit at 280.

I actually think Bakole is not a great matchup for Usyk, still would favour Usyk to win but Bakole has fast hands, great chin and does not stop coming

It’ll be fascinating now to watch how far Bakole can go, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s holding a world title in the next 12-24 months.

None of todays HWs can beat Usyk. He has always more than one plan to defeat each of them.

Do we really need to do this again. Overweight guys like Arreola, Miller, Fury etc when allowed to fight at their pace can yes all go 12 rounds comfortably. But get them to fight above a comfortable pace like Usyk did vs Fury and Dubois did vs Miller and the wheels fall off.

Overweight people run marathons and ultra marathons all the time, but none of them could do a sub 40 10K. They'd give up before going a mile.

If we assume that Usyk and Fury will retire, Bakole for me is the person best positioned to take over the division.

AJ just doesn't have the hunger to compete with these hard hitters and I'm convinced Dubois beats him.

Parker has already found his ceiling and I don't think he's magically improved, he's just looked very impressive as an underdog against two old limited boxers.

Hrgovic is at an all time low right now and failed in his big step up.

Dubois doesn't have the chin to fight with the likes of Zhang and Bakole.

    Zhang is too old.

Bakole for me is 31, has clearly improved his fitness which (combined with the injury) was the only thing that let him down against Michael Hunter. Not only that but Bakole has won in very impressive fashion and in this new era of boxing he won't get ducked by anyone.

I'd love to see Bakole v Parker and the winners fighting AJ v Dubois.

Let Fury and Usyk go now.

    At the same time.

    1) Parker is less than a year older than Bakole.
    2) Parker is much more experienced at the top level
    3) Parker has beaten contenders like Ruiz, Zhang, Wilder and even his tight wins over Chisora were over a better gatekeeper than Bakole's best win (Takam)... And Chisora was younger and less declined at that point than Takam at 44.

    And that's just Parker...

Joshua will be around a few more years yet, and would still heat Bakole.

Dubois isn't even prime yet and even though his chin and grit aren't A1, he's still improving.

Bakole might well be in the mix somewhere, he's at the right kind of age (officially at least) and has some good attributes that suggest it's possible for him to step up... But you just never quite know until they do.
