Dave Allen vs a prime Big Bad John McDermott

I think Big John gets the nod here. He had good hand speed and put his combinations together well. As well as that, he proved he could hang in tough in long bouts so I think he probably edges Allen on activity, but it’s a close competitive fight. It was a shame Big John never won the British title.

 

I think Dave Allen epitomises the term tough as nails.

Just a shame he can't piece it all together and stay away from KFC

Do you remember when Dave Allen was supposed to smash up David Price? A prime Big John does a similar job on any version of Allen, he's always been rubbish, Jesus, that fight with Bracamonte, losing to Lenroy Thomas, he's an absolute idiot of a man and a rubbish boxer with a decent enough but slightly overrated chin.

 

Indeed, it was a real shame he never got that British title, would have loved to have seen him get that for the family, but all in all he can hold his head up high and be proud of his boxing career.

I'd favour Dave Allen to KO or stop MCdermott.
