AJ KO win in under 6 rounds. There is a massive gulf in levels between the two. Even the post-Ruiz Jr version of AJ would find Allen easy work.
Fair but we don't know how much AJ has left do we? Allen at least looked sensational in his most recent outing. You can only rest on your laurels for so long in boxing.
Do people on here genuinely think Dave Allen would beat Anthony Joshua? Dave Allen just beat a weak prospect who turned out to be a mid journeyman at best if I'm being very generous to Fisher who only had hype because his father is a comedian. I dislike AJ, and I know many of the people on here do but like Dave Allen is literally a good journeyman at best, it wasn't long ago where he got completely dominated by Frazier Clarke and of course David Price. Even Yoka dominated Dave Allen. AJ wouldn't just knock Dave Allen out, he would hurt him. There are levels to this.
Come on now. I love Dave. But no. AJ would have to be absolutely completely shot, for this even to be considered. Dave would get hurt. Easy to hit. Very limited power. I think even the current AJ would beat him bad.
Think it's just the usual AJ hate. Dave is British level at absolute best. Would love to see him go and win the British title.
Joshua, at his best, was getting lit up by an old Takam who had 11 days to prepare (only ended the fight on a british stoppage). Allen definitely lands, the question is, does Joshua's chin hold up?
When Joshua gets a glimpse of the White Rhino's bulge during the weigh in he will be so intimidated he will barely throw a punch, so you have to back Allen here.
