It really is the Price fight all over again, but this time Allen can make it right.

I feel like makhmudov never changes and is always the same fighter. I wonder if that's true and there is no development or - which is more likely - that I overlook it because he is a brawler and it is hard for me to understand brawlers.

But the way I feel, the outcome of the fight depends on Allen who recently showed such great signs of ring iq, punch selection and killer instinct while being very composed. If he can keep that up he can bother lots of fighters. And I assume Allens Team would not have taken the fight if they were not confident in his training dedication

It's a beautiful matchup and I am very much looking forward to it! Makhmudov may not be what he was hyped to be, but he is a very interesting opponent/stepping stone

Allen has an iron chin and Mak has iron fists

If Allen's iron chin can >> Mak's iron hands

    Allen can win

I will certainly make sure to watch this fight as a knockout is the only possible result , One thing you can say about a big Mak fight , there will be action and somebody is gonna get nailed. I think Makhmudov will overpower , maul and hurt Allen at some point and the big Mak will end it early. But with any fight involving Makhmudov there a huge cloud of doubt hovering over him. He's a fighter who's boxing skill makes Deontay Wilder's boxing ability look like Usyk.

Don't bet any money on that as you will lose your money. I will be betting big on Dave Allen and then he will be put in with a top fifteen opponent with one of the bodies. This is excellent matchmaking whoever has organised this one.

Allen should have beaten Price. Not sure why he looked so bad in that match.

Nailed it, Iceman. I think "The Caveman" overpowers Allen.

I can't get over Allen losing to Price, my goodness. One of Makhumudov's losses was to a top 3 heavyweights, the other to the Italian pretty boy who can actually box a bit. Whereas Allen lost to Price.

It’s crazy to bring up a loss from when he was 42

Feels like a bad matchup for Allen.

I read he was calling out Ortiz as well. Is Ortiz shot enough?

At least it should be at home fight for Allen.

Yeah, I think Makmudov as bad he is, he should have enough for Allen.

Allen is just a standing target and Makhmudov will be able to land easily.

    Appreciate the Iceman touch! ;)

It would be so entertaining if Allen KOs him lol
I can imagine Allen going to the body, then send him to the floor with a right overhand

A horrid fight for Dave, I thought they'd go for a few all-British matchups so he could make a bit of money. As people have already pointed out, David Price outboxed him, and Frazer Clarke inflicted some severe damage as well. Can see Arslanbek winning this one pretty early by knockout.
