Looks like it's going ahead, what a f*cking disappointment. Allen vs Hammer would have been a decent match up, now he's fighting some random 36 year old who's fought no one.... -.- This should be removed from the undercard. Who could possibly give a toss about this? Price is free, Allen vs Price 2 would have at least been interesting. https://www.skysports.com/boxing/ne...t-christopher-lovejoy-on-undercard-at-wembley
What's very telling is that there appears to be no footage of this guy at all. I perused and perused and other than interviews.......nothing. Someone that's even a at lower/moderate level is generally gonna have some footage out. This guy is going nowhere.
Dave Allen needs a win and this guy is ranked for some reason, blame the corrupt organizations. Also Allen vs Price was boring as hell. I'd rather see Allen beat by a prospect but this is fine enough for an Allen level fighter.
Last (and only) time Lovejoy fought someone with a winning record he won by KO1, so you never know, right?! ...right? This content is protected
Who exactly do you think a domestic levels brawler should be fighting? Allen is tough and talks a good game. Thats it Boxrec has him as the 10th best HW in Britain, and thats about right.
Yes, fight the guy that dominated and outclassed you. Such an interesting fight. And Allen vs Hammer would not have been a better fight as Hammer is a step ahead of Price. Triangle theories be damned, Allen just isn´t on that level.
Last year, Haitian Jean Pierre Augustin entered the ring to fight a shot to pieces Arreola with a 17-0-1 record and only made it to the 3rd. So being undefeated really means very little.
Allen fought Whyte and Ortiz in just his 11th and 12th pro fights respectively and 21st and 22nd fights ever, whereas, conversely, Bootleg D wouldn't step up to Ortiz level until his 40th pro fight and 80th in total amateur and pro, and he's an Olympian whereas Allen had 10 amateur fights against tomato cans, and D never managed to pluck up the courage to take the Dillian Whyte challenge even though Whyte had been his mandatory challenger since the Industrial Revolution. Lovejoy is a hungry near middle-aged lion with 15 first round KOs in 19 fights all of which he's won via early KO. He went on a 13 fight KO1 streak in his first 13 fights. Funny how D and that Berlanga dude are the reincarnation of Mike Tyson for doing exactly the same but Lovejoy is a ''bum''
