True, Lovejoy has been knocking out journeymen his whole career but unlike David Price who some are putting forward as a more suitable opponent, Lovejoy hasn't been knocked in devastating fashion by any of the cab drivers he's fought (and I say this with no disrespect meant to David Price). It's probably safe to assume that Lovejoy can probably bang too given his 100% KO ratio but looking at his weight I think he'll gas fast. Nonetheless, I believe this could be quite an entertaining fight whilst Lovejoy remains a live dog.
This fight gets worse and worse.. well the "build up" does Matchroom, Sky and IFL have been showing bits and pieces, I get sent them by friends, anyway one of them did a little piece on Lovejoy and Lovejoy was sweating profusely after a few slaps on a punchbag and after those few slaps he just walked off, it was so unimpressive. Then on IFL, David Haye and Dave Allen were talking and Allen was saying he has basically been errrr pleasuring himself relentlessly through boredom. I just don't know what to make of all this, we have a fighter who looks fat and unfit and another one that's banging them out left, right and centre in his hotel room. Long gone are the days of Hagler and the mentality of "going to jail" through a camp and wearing "War" caps, we now have comfy hotel rooms, pornhub and dominos pizza.
Unlike you chumps I know of Lovejoy since early 2019! Lovejoy was supposed to fight Trevor Bryan on October 3rd, however the fight fell through. Also I'm certain Lovejoy and his former victim Michael Smith are the same person.
He probably has a punch, but even that is still up in the air due to the extremely low quality of opposition, of whom most got stopped early multiple times by non-punchers. Live dog? nope, don't think so. He's even less of a live dog as Gornish was for Joshua.
I wonder who the replacement for Lovejoy would be. Not to worry you, but I hear my phone ringing, and I wasn't expecting a call.
