My main problem with Allen is his lack of head movement and slowish feet. Even Duhaupas was a more mobile target, and had a solid jab to complement his come forward style. Allen doesn't really have that consistent jab but relies on his freakish toughness instead, and as good as his chin is he can be hurt and stopped. Right now the fight would be a mismatch and a dangerous one, but if Barker can focus on Allen's blocking and parrying and work on closing the distance, and just generally tweak things here and there, we could see major improvements in Allen's performances. He's already become a wicked body puncher, and his overhand right is one of the hardest in the game. The above might sound like I've lost the plot, but I genuinely see talent in Allen and think he could have one of those breakthrough moments in a couple of fights' time.
He gets hit too much because he is a come-forward plodder with no real footwork so can't create angles of attack. Any top 20 HW would really hurt this guy.
