Can't say I was ever the biggest fan of Allen as a boxer but I could listen to his sparring stories all day

A pint with Dave Allen, Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua?

You could have a good chat and laugh with Dave Allen and Fury whereas I would imagine one would find Mr Joshua hard work based on his public humble persona.

Allen. Think the other two will flip and turn on you the moment you say something they don't like

For all the hate these 'misfit' type of boxers get it's certainly the way to go for a hungry low level boxer. There's a lot to learn from their marketing. At the end of the day professional boxing's main purpose is not World titles or fighting the elite, no. It's about getting paid well for getting punched in the face. I've been calling for this for quite a while and Allen here has got the right idea. Starting your own Youtube channel is **** easy to do and the easiest way possible to build your own profile. Why let some donkey like Kuggan Cassius take all the money from the fighters by captialising their screen time sticking a camera in their face? They can do that themselves. A fighter could build himself into a real life Rocky situation purely by having a half decent Youtube channel. Allen, could even do this yet. Like i say boxing is about generating income and selling tickets. If Allen was to build his channel up to a few hundred thousand subs he's suddenly a commodity with something to sell. He's not just a low ranked bum any more. If a big fight falls apart at the last minute then why not chuck him in then as a replacement?

And why couldn't it blow up? His one video posted here give us a lot more insight to the sport than anything Kuggan has done in his whole career.

If you think sparring is a lucrative business then what can I say ?

Dave has already said he didn't get paid for sparring AJ , that is not uncommon at all, so by the time you take into account the boxers time, effort and expense of travel etc , it does indeed end up costing the sparring partner money.

Of course most of the time they will be paid a token amount which barely covers the above, I know of one 'manager' who used to take a cut of this measly fee even though it was costing the fighter to spar a very well known name.

The guy who took famously low purses for brutal fights at the drop of a hat? Ok.

He has had some decent paydays for a guy of his skill level. If he has invested it right which I believe he has he might not need to work again

He was getting like 20k for fights under Hearn. Hardly life changing.

If I'm not mistaken I think he said he got six figures for the fights against Browne and Price; not set for life money but should set him up well for his retirement from boxing.

Minus tax and I can guarantee you nearly all of that money has been spent on a not even especially extravagant lifestyle.

He cleared 9k for the Ortiz fight. Nowhere near worth it.

Pretty sure Dave is mortgage free and rents out a few houses on the side. He's not done bad from what I understand,
Eddie I think gave him a lot of advice, correct me anyone knows different.
