Really bad. Povetkin would of really really hurt him. Hearn is a madman for lining that one up.

 

He's managed to wing it these last few fights.

He pulled it out of the bag against Webb, went life and death with that Argentine cabbie and he was awfull against Lucas Browne...yes Lucas Browne was giving him a boxing lesson before he landed one punch.

He's British level and the fact he is like a piece of iron has been his only saving grace but it will the thing that leaves him brain dead if he carries on.

That chin of his is dangerous. He can take anyone's shots well but he's nowhere near the level of the top Brits, never mind anyone else. Hughie Fury for example would win 12 rounds against him and Hughie is poor atm.

Now, the criticism can start. Some of them uppercuts he was trying to land were embarrassing, literally cringing watching it. It was clinical by Price, but I’ve never bought this Dave Allen crap. He seems a nice bloke, talks sense, but my god he can’t fight.

Eddie has a lot to answer for. He was seriously going to put him in with Povetkin. Things like that could genuinely kill the man.

Think scissors mentioned it earlier. He needs to fight up and comers to see where they are at, and not well rounded seasoned veterans who could seriously damage his health long term.

 

Dave needs to retire, what the OP has said is spot on. I got it wrong in the build up, I thought Allen would KO Price. Allen must be seriously feather fisted as ol pricey was eating them punches which surprised me. Retire.

 

He's the level of Webb, gorman, little, sexton etc

 

Bit unfair on Gorman. He looked poor against Dubois, but he seems the real deal to me.

Gorman beats Allen, winning every round. In fact, wouldn’t be a bad fight for Gorman to take next.

Nope. Gorman is absolutely terrible. That’s a good match up though I’ll agree with you , Allen should retire though.

but really he should retire, he's been in with fighters too dangerous and hard hitting for someone as crap as him. so he's taken a lot of damage.

 

Gorman would win every round , but I can't call gorman European level until he steps up even though his ceiling is clearly higher than alllens.

 

Gorman definitely isn't terrible. He much better than Allen anyway. Allen wouldn't even beat Sokolowski

 

No shame in that at all and can still have a decent career without having to work like a **** 8-12 hours a day 5/6 days week like most other dick heads. People need to keep this in perspective. Just because he gets schooled by an Olympain doesn’t mean he’s completely crap. I agree with the cliche. Levels.
