Good question Sean. Comes across well, bit of a character. My answer to the question would be Allen needs a couple of fights before tackling Wardley. If he did it now it would be seen as a cash out. I don't see him beating Wardley but at his best could give him a fight. Re amateur experience Allen himself had very little, but he comes from a fighting family and is a bit of a natural athlete and boxer, despite his ill discipline. Wardley is the same but at a higher level, plus he appears to be a dedicated trainer who gets good regular sparring. Id have liked his last fight to have gone on longer as the result didn't look a foregone conclusion. Out of the younger heavyweight pros id put Dubois top, then Wardley, then Dacres.
The problem for Allen is that he can ride the hype of a couple of easy/rigged fights and milk it for all its worth online to generate interest but every time he has remotely stepped up he's struggled, Wardley would be no different. To be honest after the Darch fight I'm surprised that his career hasn't had a full investigation.
Oh come on, Allen really stepped on the gas in round 3 and Darch had no answer to it all..... It's no surprise that Darch retired after that severe beating.......
Pay days. At his level you'd be happy to position yourself to any fight that puts 50k plus in your bank. In the real World that's good money to cover you for a year still.
Dave's a landlord so he's coining it in, as I'm sure you'll be able to find out from one of his humblebrag Insta posts
