The state he gets himself into inbetween fights is a joke. Apparently he boxed for free at the weekend, that's what the people's champion, the humble hero, toffee crisp and irn bru, loves a Greggs, watches Corrie, ooh he's Northern, Dave Allen has been saying on social media.
Get him in with Kash Ali, im sure Kash lives in Rotherham (atleast he did at one point) that would be a good local derby. Failing that drag Mark Bennett or Carl Spencer out of retirement for a Donny dust up.
It’s quite amusing watching him on IG. Tbf to him he has lost a lot of weight but he now preaches about his healthy eating when it’s really clear that he doesn’t actually have any knowledge at all about nutrition. He posts his meals up and a common meal he seems to have his chicken on sliced bread. Hardly the worst thing to eat but for an athlete it’s not particularly good nutrition. I have no idea why he doesn’t invest in proper nutritional advice and strength and conditioning if he’s serious about it. Being fat is his comfort blanket. Going by what he says on Instagram he really believes that he could have been a top performer if he wasn’t “fat and lazy about training”.
Someone ought to save this guy from himself, that big attention seeking retirement statement feels like a lifetime ago and even then it was overdue
There's plenty of people worse off than Dave Allen not getting any kind of help, sod him, he's a very lucky boy and if he pushes his luck too far again another David Price moment might happen again. Trained his hardest, got in good shape for him, said he was going to knock Price out. Left the ring on a stretcher, posed the next day all smashed up with a KFC.
Yeah the guy is a proper weirdo. He repeats the same stuff over and over again, and then goes on to do the same stuff inbetween fights.
