The Dartford Destroyer. I'm just about too young to recall his career first hand, but I've read a bit about him. Got stopped on cuts in his first world title challenge against Joe Brown. Lost by a dodgy decision in the rematch, and finally stopped Brown in a non-title fight a little later on. Moved up in weight, and got knocked out by the great Emile Griffith. After he retired,he became very prosperous and still is,by all accounts. He seems to have been a very good fighter. What does everyone else think ?

he's always been rated as one of the best brits to not win a world title and in his day there was only one champ.
