I wish i had seen it. From what I heard the decisino was so bad that the FBI got involved and started investigating corruption in boxing.

I scored the fight for Toney by a point. Many rounds could've gone either way. Tiberi landed a lot of punches, but Toney's punches were cleaner and I thought they hurt Tiberi a lot more.

Certainly not a robbery in my opinion. Most recently Casamayor/Santa Cruz and Lewis/Holyfield I were a LOT worse.

Tiberi .. I saw it live, he won the fight.. I felt bad for him..

Toney just had an off night..

I did feel bad when Fres fought Byrd.... I had the challenger a streak ahead.....

Tiberi won quite easily in my opinion, even with the point deduction. One of the judges had it 117-111 for Tiberi.

There were some close rounds though so I won't argue if someone saw it for Toney.

If I remember correctly, the only judge who was licensed was the one who scored it for Tiberi - which seemed a little dodgy. Besides, Toney didn't exactly look like a man who had thought he had won the fight after the bell in the 12th round!

    Never seen it.

For years I heard this was a horrible robbery.
The last year or so though, I've heard a handful of people make out that Toney deserved the narrow nod.

Whether this is true or a Holyfield-Lewis I "the draw was fair!" kind of recouping I don't know!

the bad decision thing got blown out of all proportion for 2 reasons.....firstly Toney was supposed to blow him out but looked like **** and secondly because Tiberi threw a lot of punches.

Tiberi didn't land a lot of clean blows, Toney landed more and deserved the nod.

this was not an obvious robbery like the one Sturm suffered against DLH.

BULL****!!! Tiberi was robbed. Toney looked like he was gonna pass out from fatigue throughout. Tiberi didn't hit very hard but thru a ton of punches. I have been a boxing fan for over 35 years and this was on of the worst decisons (and I've seen a lot of bad ones) I have ever seen.

It doesn't sound like you have evr seen the fight.

I've seen it 3 times. I agree Toney almost looked like he was gonna pass out, and that Tiberi threw a ton of punches. I, and many others, think Toney won the fight.

Yeah, I scored it for Toney.

It's one of those fights that was close, so people will often give the active underdog the benefit of the doubt.

Think of it like Taylor/Hopkins I.

Tiberi won that fight. Had it happened today, there would've been just as much outrage on this board as there is for other screwy decisions.

I had heard about it but never saw it. Based on these highlights I can't call this a "robbery" for Toney. Tiberi's punches were pretty lame, more glancing chicken **** stuff.

He did so much better than expected that maybe people overvalued his performance.
