Navarro is tentative, leaning on his rear leg in something approximating the Philly shell. A bit more liveliness in Avanesyan's offense now.

Avanesyan is masking his face with his gloves, palms in, and throwing a 1-2 down the pipe when Navarro initiates with a jab from the hip. Both flurrying high and ricocheting off the arms of the other man. Avanesyan blocking Navarro's single left hooks and countering with the 1-2 as he withdraws. Navarro has a point taken away, not sure why. Holding, maybe - there's been some.

Round 6

Avanesyan down, slip. Wet canvas. Navarro is rallying, however, and forcing Avanesyan to skate awkwardly under pressure. Navarro is leading with straight rights on the belly and following through with a left hook at the head. Avanesyan is barely catching most of them but some get through. Avanesyan really not doing much, giving this frame away hiding behind his gloves, smiling at Navarro as he picks off shots. Navarro down, slip.

Round 7

Avanesyan sundials as Navarro glides around him feeding out jabs. Avanesyan just watching, doing nothing. Consistent effort by Navarro, just outworking Avanesyan. Navarro working the right hand on Avanesyan's flank diving in, chin tucked. Navarro scores a jab but is backed up by a 4-punch combo by Avanesyan. Strong close by Avanesyan, whacking Navarro against the ropes, but mostly with incidental rabbit punches and not enough to steal this one for him after over two minutes of good work from Navarro.

Round 8

Navarro circling and jabbing on his toes, getting caught with stone-skippers. Avanesyan is southpaw again, laying the right jab on Navarro and bringing the boom-pole left down on top of Navarro's head. Another switch, Avanesyan orthodox. Navarro is changing directions, circling wide, seemingly flustered. Stay-away jabs by Navarro, with Avanesyan pressuring deliberately but still controlled.

Avanesyan is pouring it on heavily now. Weak jabs by Navarro, wilting, failing to avoid much of Avanesyan's offense. Navarro is backed into the ropes with a hook on the face punctuating a long sequence of lighter punches from Avanesyan. Big left hook downstairs and hammering right from Avanesyan while Navarro attempts to fold himself in half against the ropes. Navarro down. Stopped.
