Nice boxing by Lamont, good stuff. Can't say more or less.

Avanesyan throwing some nice combinations, but not that much pop, just alot of sting. Peterson still tryin to figure out whether he wants to box or pressure.

    Round 4

Avanesyan is doubling his jab and gliding in toward Peterson, light on his toes, quick to sally out in reverse before Peterson can mount a salvo in reply. Peterson is able to dribble a few more underhanded rights off the rib cage of Avanesyan, but is getting forced backward onto the ropes, jerking himself over them by bending away over them, but Avanesyan is controlling distance and tempo now and grazing Peterson with a few jabs even if his crowding isn't giving him the sort of steady connects he's looking for.

    10-9 Avanesyan, close

    39-37 Peterson

Bernstein always sees a 'pretty close fight' when it's not really. Avanesyan's doing the throwing, but Lamont's doing the landing.

Peterson backs up too much for more liking
He will probably win but it's not enjoyable to watch

    Round 5

Avanesyan is starting the exchanges, putting some jabs against the side of Peterson's throat and forcing him into retreat but then missing wild eye-catching left hooks by misjudging distance as Peterson starts to lurch forward to engage him but doesn't commit. Good body feints by Peterson, but not much actual punching from him.

    10-9 Avanesyan

    48-47 Peterson
