    That sounds nice until you realize the both times he got the belt vacant against Ronald Gavril in a fight some thought he lost and Alexis Angulo(?).

    But that’s a good fight. If he beats Plant I think he deserves Canelo as clearly the next highest rated guy after Ryder. The reason Ryder needs to get his shot is to demonstrate there is some fairness in boxing and if you take the fights and win the fights, you get your opportunity and it’s not just the guys the fans show favouritism towards that get shots.

    And likewise Ryder should’ve been the lineal 168lb champ after Smith anyway.

    I'm more interested in seeing Benavidez vs Morrell than any other match up at 168. That's a real intriguing fight

    Plant has a half inch in height on him and he has a half inch in reach on Plant. They are very close in size. The only difference is that I think Benavidez is the better fighter.
