Benavidez isn’t as big of a threat to Canelo that most people want to believe. Thats the fight that people want to see before Canelo retires and after what we’ve seen from Benavidez against Gvozdyk I think Canelo outboxes him soundly. Canelo should cash out, give the fans the fight they want, beat Benavidez, and then retire on top.

I mean, it's a fight it would be good to see at some point, but it's nowhere near as big as Canelo vs Bud, the chances of which hasn't fully died yet.

As long as that has a chance its a fight that will probably be preferred over Benavidez. At least by the public.

Hes such an easy fight Canelo wont enter a ring with him for less than $200,000,000.

You don't walk right at Canelo, stylistically it doesn't favour Benavidez. Benavidez's only hope is he can out work and overwhelm Canelo and hope he doesn't get knocked out before Canelo starts to tire. Dangerous tactic to take against Canelo who can break bones with his well timed counters.

Benavidez is no monster, only monstrous thing about him is the hype he's gotten. Lets not bestow the Monster title on fighters like Benavidez and Matias when they have not earned it. There's only one Monster and he resides in the east.

Well there's this, but I still think, push comes to shove, Canelo hooks to the body and folds him over. I still got Alvarez TKO9 Benavidez or something. And I would totally be rooting Benavidez at this point.

Maybe good sir. I dont count Canelo out, especially with his judges, but Ill take DB for the win in a competitive and fun fight. Very fun and interesting clash of styles.

I've been saying it all along. Benavidez' defensive holes will be his downfall against Canelo. Benavidez is not disciplined enough, and probably not smart enough to fight tight and defensively.

The footwork that Golovkin and Bivol had against Canelo are not there for Benavidez.

I really don't understand why some of you ride Benavidez so hard.. lol.

As for the 200mil.. Canelo already explained what he meant by asking 150-200 mil. He said that he's one of the few fighters out there who has fought whoever the fans dared him to fight, Mayweather, Lara, Trout, Cotto, Smith, Saunders, Plant and that now he's in a position where he can dictate the terms of what he thinks he's worth. If the fans truly think Benavidez is the best fight for him then hes saying Pay him for the fight as if it is supposedly the biggest fight.

I think Canelo wins, but he has to prove it in the ring. And he doesn't seem very keen to share one with Benavidez, unfortunately.

Let's be honest, 115-113 Bivol, Atrocious score cards. Mayweather got a majority decision, it's bad

Ginger doesn't want that smoke. Benavidez been chasing him forever. and he's done gone done everything he can to try and entice him out of the coop but nothing has worked.

Ginger said go fight Plant to earn your shot. Benavidez did that and he fought Boo Boo too. He questioned his manhood. Put a bounty on his ass. Tried the be nice and respectful approach. Tried the disrespectful trash talking approach.

He was the #2 in the division since long time and the greatest challenger and threat to his throne but even after he became undisputed Ginger opted to fight Mung, Juan Ryder, inactive career 154 pounder Jermello, and GGG's 40 y/o shot ghost instead. Hell, even glass-jawed binman Berlangy was a much more preferable option for him than Benavidez.

Maybe Ginger will finally man up now that Benavidez didn't look so hot against Gvozdyk

If that's the case then it makes the duck even worse, no?
The guy has been the mando for years and you'd have to think the defensive holes were even bigger back then, yet that fight has never come close to being made. I really like Canelo's chances vs Benavidez but for some reason this fight doesn't interest him at all. It's at the level of Bowe-Lewis

I don't get the hype around Benavidez. I think Canelo beats him easier than most of us think. Saying that, Canelo should be ashamed how he's clearly running from the fight the boxing public wants.

If he wasn’t a threat Canelo would’ve already fought him by now
