DB weighed 196 for his fight against Zurdo. That would mean in 1938, DB would be a heavyweight. He steps up to challenge Louis. Louis was about 198-202 during that time, not much bigger than DB. Who wins?

The passive defence of Benavidez would spell disaster.

He can get away with it when he can take the power of the opponent or not get hit clean, but Louis can him up for devastating punches, and Benavidez wouldn’t be able to take punches to give them back, because Louis would have far too much power and his delivery and timing would mean Benavidez would struggle to see it coming.

If DB broke Gilberto's eye then Louis would have straight out punched the eyeball out of the socket.

You can't stand face to face with a Prime Joe Louis and expect anything good to come from that

Contrary to many other boxers, Louis will not miss

And for the Brown Bomber, one punch is more than enough.

Seriously? You need someone to tell you who'd win?

Did you not see his stoppage wins over Zurdo and Adonis?

Is Adonis a nickname for Anthony Yarde that I was unaware of?

I think it ends up like the Conn fights with Louis. Benavidez taking on more than he can chew and ultimately getting KO'd in late rounds.

Think he meant Andrade. Watched that fight in the interim still not impressed. He’s a good fighter but I honestly don’t see anything mind blowing to him.
