David Benavidez vs Caleb Truax is set for April 18th

It's a guarantee Plant v. Benavidez will NOT be happening in 2020.

 

Do we get another instance in which challengers want no part of the beltholder?

Four beltholders, all undefeated, none have fought each other yet and - despite the noisy rhetoric from the fighters (in particular Plant and Benavidez) about wanting to fight each other - at this stage, it doesn't even look that likely we will see any unification fights this year (I would be happy to be proved wrong). Yeah, SMW might not be the most talent heavy division, but there are still plenty of good fights to be made between the beltholders, before even factoring Canelo in, like:

BJS v Smith
Benavidez v Plant (the one I really want to see)
Plant v Smith

Any unification will do!

I rate Benavidez as the best of the current lot, but I'm not hugely interested in seeing him fight Truax or Thompson or other fringe contenders anymore.

 

I wonder if Perro Angulo is gonna be asked to step up to the plate one last time?

Yeah Benavidez the LHW-CW is probably the best at the weight and had looked the least vulnerable lately along with Plant. Smith and Saunders have looked like Dog**** in recent fights.

 

It's tragic because none of the fights between any of the titlists should be extremely difficult to make, let alone the challengers.

 

I'm starting to not respect the PBC brand due to bull**** like this.
