Great fight! Now that means Canelo will most likely fight Charlo in September.

I think there are a number of potential opponents out there they have no interest in fighting and Benavidez, Beterbiev and Morrell are top of the avoid list.

 Yeah it's comical Berlangy is even being mentioned as a potential opponent for Clenelo. His level has already been well and truly exposed and his whiskers are definitely suspect.

I think Benavidez's power has been proven to be somewhat overrated now but they're still very hurtful shots and once he gets into his groove and his offence starts to flow he's vicious. They're probably roughly similar power wise but Morrell is much slicker.

More like Canelo” has to” take in the winner… if only that were true.

    Morrell all day baby.

Despite his relative pro inexperience, he actually had a pretty solid amatuer career whereas DB didn't.

He ready and this is an awesome matchup.

Although it's a great match up I don't think it's going to be a great fight. If Morrell can hurt Benavidez, Benavidez won't know how to handle it and Morrell should finish him shortly thereafter. If Morrell can't hurt Benavidez he'll go into Olympic boxing mode, use his skills and reach advantage to stay away from Benavidez and outpoint DB.

Fingers crossed, Jason Quigley somehow puts on a world class schooling and knocks Berlangy's lego haired buzzcut loose, and gives this clownshoe the humiliating treatment his cut rate ass so richly deserves, preventing him from even making it to be a big money human sacrifice to Canelo Alvarez.:deal:

 Be hilarious if he did

    Berlangy's last four fights

WUD Roamer Alexis Angulo (38 y/o hadn't fought in a year)
    WUD Stevie Rolls (37 y/o)
    WUD Marcelo Coceres (got dropped)
    WUD Demond Nicholson

And he arguably lost some of those

And now he's facing Quigley who was blasted out early by Andrade and then in his very next and last fight he ''came back with a win'' (E-Hearn's words) against a 23-36-3 journeyman who was without a win in his last 26 outings

And to make this post even more  worthy, that MD win over the terrible Shane Mosley Jr. really should've been a MD in the other direction. Very few had Quigley winning that.

 Yeah I remember that RBR. Imagine Berlangy had to go through Benavidez or Morrell to get to Clenelo? That train would never come close to reaching its destination

A really dumb choice by team benavidez if it happens. A high risk low reward fight where you can lose a undisputed shot you earned. Morrell has nothing to lose everything to gain. Benavidez won't even get a pay down from it. His manager should be sacked.

That's what really pisses me off about it, and its exactly what Canelo wants. The top guy getting taken out. Disgusting, and instead he gives the undisputed shot to a drunk MW who has not fought in 2 years.

It would be a crying shame if Canelo doesn’t face either of them next year.
