Benavidez is the most popular guy currently but John freaking Ryder has fought and beaten better fighters than David, Benavidez ranking currently is simply because Canelo has already beaten everybody that was ahead of him… David has not tried to fight no type of top SMW he ain’t no different than a jermall charlo feasting on bums living off of hype.. if you say Davids struggle to win vs Plant makes him the best that’s funny as hell these guys need to get off they ass and fight somebody

Whoever believes Benavidez vs Morrell will happen is naive.

These two are weight bullies, they're enjoying their size advantage they have in super middleweight and beating up smaller opponents.

They will no way fight each other.

Are we compare old 34 years guy with 5 losea to young absolutely beast like Benavidez???
Benavidez is not just number 1 guy, not just mandatory, he is also the big money fight for Canelo. What is his excuse not fighting his mandatory and biggest money fight for him currently???
Yeah that was a clear duck, just like Fury ducked Usyk.
And stop with this Charlo nonsenses. He is on 2+ years inactivity. He is a cherry-pick.

that 24 yr old beast hasn’t fought nobody good that says he’s a beast that 34 yr old guy just beat 2 fighters who would be top 5 wins for the 24 yr old… Canelo makes 40mil fighting anybody when you getting paid regardless money ain’t a issue fighting the best is… these guys like David and Charlo been dodging fights vs the best in every division while Canelo been fighting the best.. Benavidez is a career 168 guy and his claim to fame is winning a vacant title meanwhile Canelo a former 154 champ moved up in weight and in 2 yrs has beaten 7 top 10 guys at 168 including the entire top 5 unified the entire division… it’s not unreasonable to ask these guy to get off they ass and fight somebody and earn a shot.. ppl called Caleb plant a cherry pick last yr and now he the gatekeeper to greatness for David Benavidez some how, when David scary ass wouldn’t fight a unbeaten plant in 2019.. miss me with that I’m interested in a Canelo vs Benavidez fight and think David might get stopped but reality is the man sitting back begging for handouts instead of fighting and making himself the guy… become your own man don’t be out here trying to clout chase off the guy who already put in the type of work that you scared to.

Bro he is the guy for quite some time. He ia number 1 and mandatory. 24, unbeaten physical beast. Ryder is not in the same league as DB. And if Canelo was so sure of beating DB, he would have already fought him.

mid david is a beast why hasn’t he tried to fight anybody good at 168? Why he been fighting almost a decade and only has 2 guys in total on his resume that’s worth anything? That don’t add up he ain’t tried to unify hasn’t tried to move up in weight homie been sitting around living off Mike Tyson giving him a nickname but not actually fighting elite comp to prove it

You serious? And who the f**** he should have fight exactly? He is trying for that Canelo fight for quite some time. Or you are saying Canelo is no good ?
So now, before facing Canelo you should clean the whole division? You understand that is the job for the Champions, to fight the best. As a contender your goal is to become mandatory and face the champion.
    Which is what Benavidez did.
He is the best fight for Canelo, and he is the money fight as well.
Big money fight, and public demand that fight, yet Canelo is ducking him, for a cherry-pick Charlo who is being inactive for 2+ years.

Don't even wanna mention the try hard cherry-pick winning CW title at 180 catchweight with rehydration clause on top of it.

trying to fight badou Jack at 180 is lame as hell, but my guy let’s be real Benavidez is a career 168 guy he ducked callum smith in 2017, ducked plant when he was unbeaten in 2019, ducked Andrade last yr when wbc-WBO tried to make a joint mandatory… guys like yildrum have been mandatory before ppl don’t care about a mandatory unless they like the guy… when somebody has moved up to yo division and did all the work that you was supposed to be doing then yeah you d@mn right you need to go fight somebody and prove it.. why y’all be giving these guys passes for sitting around doing nothing is ridiculous if Benavidez such a killer why he scared to fight anybody else? Gtfoh Benavidez is technically a former champ does he not have to fight other top contenders?

that’s the thing that be crazy to me about all the duck talk Canelo don’t fight everybody 1 by 1 he ducking but these other guys don’t have tonight nobody good no type of good contender at all y’all cool with them sitting around waiting for everybody ahead of them to get whoop so they can be artificially moved up instead of putting in they own work… nah man get off yo ass bro

Did you seriously say that Benavidez ducked someone 6 years ago, when he was 20 years old ? Come on you can do better than that.
Then claiming when he was on 22 ducked the guy he recently school ?
And how is Benavidez scared of anyone, when the moment Canelo ducked him, he moved on and make a fight with a great fighter in David Morrell ?

And i'm the last guy that will give a pass to this or that guy. But it's the champion duty to fight the best in the division.

The fight at 168 that everyone wanna see is Canelo vs Benavidez. Explain me why is Canelo not fighting him, and is going against a guy that hasn't fought in 2 years time, who had all kind of mental issues?

YES!! This is the fight I wanted to see. And this is exactly why it was better for Canelo to not fight Benavidez next.

Reportedly Eddy Reynoso said they are interested in Fighting Benavidez in May (2024). I applaud Benavidez for not crying about the Canelo fight, and showing how hungry he is to prove himself. Seeking out a battle of up and coming prospects next in David Morrell is exactly what young fighters shoud be doing. Good for them, this will be a fantastic fight, and the winner will have earned a shot at Canelo. We really need this fight to see if Benavidez is truly ready for the king of SMW. And this gives Morrell an opportunity to show how good he is. If he Beats Benavidez, then he would put himself in position for the Undisputed. This will show who is the better up and coming prospect, and who is ready to challenge for Undisputed.
