David benavidez vs Evander Holyfield @ 200

Out of topic but this beating was so brutal, it physically made me sick watch Zurdo's face turn into mush

David was popping every single individual capillar on him, and the combo with the elbow at the end, goosebumps

Good for Ramirez for staying down, it's completely understandable, had he gotten up then i'm 100% certain this would've been his last bout, ever.

 

I'm as big of a Benavidez fan as you will find but I'm not taking him over Evander. I do believe Benavidez handspeed would be an issue for anyone but Evander was as tough as they come and a great counterpuncher. I don't see Benavidez ripping off a ten punch combo against Evander without eating a big counter hook on the inside.

With that said, I think the best is yet to come for Benavidez. I think he beats Bivol at 175 if they can make that fight. I also think Canelo continues to shamefully duck him. He still has a lot of boxing left in him at only 29 years old.

 

Yeah more boxers need to protect themselves no matter what bloodthirsty clown says they "quit" there's a very thin line between brave and stupid. And all those people calling you a coward aint paying those medical bills or rent if you fight despite all common sense.

 

He just couldn't complete. It was like watching a race between a horse with a bum leg and an F1 race car

 

Yep, that hand speed was simply too much. Benavidez is an incredible talent.

Nice win lastnite but in all honesty Ramirez isn't a very good fighter.

 

Was just about to make this when I saw you beat me to it.

Holyfield probably by late stoppage after bullying Benavidez, Holyfield has a better defence, chin and is bigger than Ramirez.

Benavidez would probably land a bit, but Holyfield would be too much.

 

Yeah I agree in no instance was that quitting.

Zurdo had a broken nose and arguably a broken orbital bone that eye was gross to look at it.

Zurdo could've actually took the easy way out sooner after the 4th round knockdown. But he went straight at Benavidez the next round and made a go of it.

So for me Zurdo showed plenty of heart and if anyone suggests he did a quit job they're simply morons.

 

Holyfield was a lot quicker than Zurdo. I think Holyfield beats Benavidez by decision.

After yesterday's night, both Zurdo and Benavidez have all of my respect.

 

If Benavidez beats Opetaia well then we could maybe talk.

 

Levels, didn't look in proper condition to fight Holyfield, lots of sloppy arm punch flurries, it wouldn't be close or competitive, Holyfield puts on a masterclass

I take Holyfield. Remember, a 205 pound Holyfield gave a prime Bowe the fight of his life. I don't think DB can do anything with Holyfield.

 

Ramirez looked awful from the opening bell, as well. Almost as if he wasn't suited to the division.
