Everybody will jump in the Benavidez bandwagon, but i still think Canelo wins 7-5.

He would have press and Benavidez on the ropes like Lemieux did multiple times a round except he'd make use of the opportunity by targeting the arms and body and his defense is leagues above Lemieux's. Benavidez will slow down by round 6 and will be less offensive, with Canelo doing more scoring shots and the cleaner work. But it's a rough fight for Canelo, i won't lie

 

I like the way he picked his punches and also covered up - he smokes Canelo better than what Bivol did.

 

Alvarez STOPS Benavidez.

 

I'll say Benavidez decision.

Benavidez will tune Canelo up from range and his workrate is all wrong for Canelo, who still doesn't have the greatest stamina. It's a bad stylistic matchup for Canelo but a different one than Bivol. I could see Benavidez stopping Canelo late in the fight. But I voted for Benavidez decision as the most likely outcome. I think Canelo knows how to survive and has shown a very good chin. Until I see him in serious danger, I won't pick anyone to stop him.

I guess I give Canelo a punchers chance but I think it'll have to be early in the fight. DB will tune him up by the middle to late rounds and I'm not sure what Canelo will have left on his punches.

 

Yet he keeps ducking him lol

 

Benavidez by a murder, but judges will find a way for Clenbuterolos. Benavidez cardio and work rate is miles better than Clen.

By fight Bivol who is better than Benavidez ?

 

Thats not what his camp thought - even Hearn admitted this by saying Bivol was not impressive in his last 2 previous fights and they thought this will be another Euro beat down. Well look what happened - still Canelo reguses to mention anything about Videz clear 100% duck

 

I think Benavidez needs one more solid fight with legit top 3 guy to fight Canelo after that.

And Canelo needs another lose and than fight David.

 

Hearn said Canelos camp expected this Bivol to be an easy fight or something synonymous ? Link ? Because even Canelo himself said Bivol would be a tough fight.

Bivol is better than Benavidez not only based on the eye test but the facts too, even with his performances pre Canelo i knew he was better than Benevidez. One weight bullies at super middle and the other a LHW champion with a good resume under his belt.

Canelo doesn't mention Charlo either when Charlo wants the fight, does that mean he's ducking ? (LOL)

 

Canelo by close decision, for now. But there’s a reason why he started showing interest in the WBC super-middleweight belt right after Benavidez got stripped of it, he’s seen as a threat unlike everyone else at 168.
