    Benavidez fought in August though. Him not making weight is irrelevant to getting a fight signed before that. Did Canelo have a crystal ball that showed Benavidez would not make weight? Of course not. Benavidez not making weight has nothing to do with making a fight before that. You are trying to tie the two together in order to make it appear Canelo didn’t avoid the best fighter with a belt at 168.
