No one is saying that Diaz was a strong champ at 135. Even the *******s admit that Diaz was the weakest of the belt holders. This is nothing new, no one ever claimed that his was a good win (however impressive the performance was). It was a tune up at a higher weight. Nothing new... what's the point of the thread?

He fought a close fight with Castillo with a torn rotator cuff. And then comfortably beat him in the rematch. And this is a prime Castillo. I'm not going to pick holes in Pac's resumé because I'm not a hater, it's very good. You can't seem to comprehend that Floyd's isn't exactly a bag of **** either. If we are going to get picky, Pac arguably lost against Marquez and only beat Morales when he was past his prime.

And if he was finished by fraud how did he completely dominated Paulie a guy that many think just beat Juan Diaz,the same Juan Diaz that you seem to think would beat Pac.

 

Fraud fought the best at 130 and 135 theres no denying that but after that is record above 135 is nothing special.

He still has time to fix that though.

 

There's no denying he could of fought Mosley, but you have to remember that even as a Mosley fan myself, he did turn Floyd down in the past. He could of fought Cotto aswell no doubt, but he obviously lost to Margarito.

But what more do you expect of him above 135? He never planned on staying at 140 long, he wanted to pick up the WBC belt like he's done throughout all the weight classes, and he did that against Gatti. Sure Gatti wasn't at his best, but he was the belt-holder, what could Mayweather do?

And the DeMarcus Corley & Henry Bruseles fights were both eliminators for the title. He fought those only to get his shot at Gatti. He wanted to fight Kostya Tszyu and he called him out on HBO after I think the Bruseles fight, but Tsyzu lost to Hatton 3 weeks before Mayweather picked up the WBC belt against Gatti.

Sharmba Mitchell was merely a tune-up to get accustomed to the new weight, and then he went and fought Judah, who many people regarded as still a dangerous opponent. He never had to fight Judah because he lost to Baldomir, but he did. And then to top it off, Mayweather fought Baldomir aswell to pick up the WBC. So what Baldomir wasn't a top-level fighter? He was the champion at 147, so what could Floyd do? Plus, a lot of people were actually picking Baldomir to beat Floyd because the size difference.

He got the opportunity to make millions against De La Hoya and pick up another WBC belt in another weight and took it, he then got called out by Hatton and stepped up to the plate and beat an undefeated fighter who many were picking to beat him aswell. And not meant as a stab at Pacquiao, but he fought better versions of both DLH & Hatton than Manny did. And then he comes back from a 2 year retirement and beats the - admittedly above his best weight - consensus P4P #2 winning 12-0/11-1 on most people's scorecards and putting on a masterclass.

 

You also forgot to mention that all 135 champion that time have a schedule fight and only Diaz was available for Pacquiao.

 

Me too, he should be the 1st 4 weight champion from Mexico but **** happens, what else is new, same old same old.
