Just watched the fight on HBO. I feel bad for David Diaz, he was ****, but come on, he should have stopped in the 5th or at least have the corner stop it.

The guy had no advantage in any aspect whatsoever on Pacquiao. His defense was plain and full of holes, just stood there to take the shots when he wasn't throwing, and when he threw punches they were weak and left himself wide open to the head. And to think many in this forum, specially several Pacmaniacs, put Diaz very high. :-(

This should be a reminder of how faded was the great Morales when he got to David Diaz.

Now, bring on Cotto / Margarito! :freddy

or how ordinary Diaz is since a lot of fans feel a washed up Morales won that fight:think

I feel bad for Diaz because he tried his best and people are shitting all over the guy. If i was a glorified tomato can I too would take a career paying fight even though i knew i would get smashed on.

Pac was his usual self also, they kept citing improvements, no, same Pacquaio vs. a limited opponent who was target practice. Pac appeared a bit slower at 135.:think

Can't see him doing much there to be honest.

This post is hilarious to me. Not because you are right, or wrong necessarily-- but the ease in which you give him the shaft.

By the way, I have him even money with Casa and Cambell, and favor Diaz over him. This win is being blown out of proportion though.

Wow! another thread by another notorious hater just to discredit pac... :good
All i know is that diaz doesn't have the skill of a JMM but he is tough as nails. People were just surprised how easy pac dominated the supposedly bigger and stronger guy.

Come to think of it... i enjoyed watching JMM beat the heck out of that thai guy and made Jaca's head a punching bag. :deal

Your calling Diaz "****," yet he has been a WBC WORLD CHAMPION. May i ask what you have ever done or accomplished that even remotely compares to what Diaz has accomplished? Diaz fought his heart out and never even thought about quitting despite the fact that he was taking punishment that would have made Godzilla quit on his stool.

So what if Diaz was totally outclassed by Pacquiao, most of Pac's opponents are steamrolled by Pac.....not to mention that this was an even more improved Pacquiao; are you forgetting that Diaz was fighting the undisputed #1 p4p fighter in the world?....it's pretty difficult to look good against that. Give Diaz a break for ****s sake. The difference in the fight was undoubtedly Pac's amazing speed. Diaz just couldn't handle the speed.

Did you really watch the fight or were you just focused on the cuts. Manny was using tons of body shots and was showing off his improved right hook. It wasn't just the head of Dsvid Diaz that was getting him killed.

I liken this fight to Floyd fighting Baldomir. Limited champ collecting a paycheck. Nothing more nothing less

BTW, technically the fight SHOULD have been stopped in the 5th. Why cry over that? For David to stay in there and not have his corner throw in the towel speaks much about his heart. And his post interview even brought in more respect to him.

I'm not giving him the shaft, I watched the fight tonight on TV and watched in full detail, I am just laughing at everyone claiming 'improvements' when it's the same fighter, just vs. an opponent several levels beneath him and naturally getting destroyed.

Campbell would destroy him, if we are dealing the same Campbell vs. Diaz, as I don't feel Pac is good backing up and smothered, which Campbell is excellent at doing.

Again, I am not blowing him off, but I don't feel he'll be successful at 135 or above, from what I viewed tonight. He seemed a bit slower, I don't know...
