The Warrington fight last week should have been stopped in round 4 by the ref and the corner should have thrown in the towel.

No way was I wanting to see Warrington be on the end of a Canelo v Khan type KO as he could have easily ended up like Michael Watson or worse.

Kelly had emptied his limited tank and no point continuing when there was nothing left to give.

Gutted for Joshy. I agree with Conor Benn, Kelly gases far too easily, maybe needs to move up to Light Middle.

 

Said it before, I'd be more then happy paying £10 a pop for cards like this then the PPV dross and it going all to one fighter.

For me it’s about fighting, that’s entertains enough for me. I’ll watch two split arses hit each other with heels and skull rag, ill watch 2 10 year olds or 2 70 year olds. It’s all entertaining on a natural primal level.

Fury coming out to ‘Crazy’ on a throne for example is just pathetic and distracts on what the sport really is.

For me Adam booth's style the wide stance, low Jab fundamentally relies on his fighter having power in order to deter the opponent marching forward and just teeing off because if he doesn't we see what happens tonight.

Kelly is actually arguably slicker than Haye and Groves but has no where near the punching power they have and he never will and that always means his opponents will always fancy their chances against him.

 

He's not got the dog in him to be a pro fighter,that much is clear now.

 

People pay 90 quid a month to sly sports. Cards like this should be the absolute minimum

 

They often tend to run out of gas towards the end as well

There were times in the first 4 rounds that Kelly actually looked sensational.
Some of his moves and angles he hit Avanesyan was bewildering, but the lack of power is the issue, and he gasses.

 

Kelly needs to cut out the posturing. Likewise Joe Laws (is it a north east thing). Both good fighters but bite down on the gum shield and fight. Tough guys will walk through such antics.

Seen Tony Jeffries has released a video slating matchroom for pushing Kelly to early in his 12th pro fight; that’s all well and good but I’m sure no-one has complained at the purses they have received thus far when in comparison to most fighters across the country, and the added benefits of having the exposure on sky sports and the monetary value that brings.

You can’t have it both ways- if you want to build slowly and have 20-25 fights before stepping up, jump On the small hall circuit or fight abroad until you’re ready, fans expect 50/50 competitive fights like this for their subscriptions.
