Seems every time Haye bounces a check or gets his credit card declined he makes a new comeback announcement. Next thing he will probably start selling DVDs of his Valuev fight on UK flea markets to make a living.

Not a fan, but as a boxing fan in general, I hate seeing wasted potential.

It's not like he's retired from injury. Similar to Ward, Pac, Vitali, Helenius etc etc etc, he hurt his shoulder. Not at all career ending.

Just a few minor tweeks in the gym on changing angles, and he wouldnt lose a lb of torque, or a milisecond of speed on the shot.

Easily worked out, and for a guy who relies on CPing and OH Rs.....not even a loss really.

But as a top 10ish HW.....him being MIA has been a loss to boxing. :think

Well "hurting" his shoulder is a bit of an understatement.

    It was a serious surgery.
Its like saying that Vitali just "hurt his shoulder"

That's exactly what he said to iFilm TV right before Floyd-Maidana II last September :lol:

I think this has become a yearly ritual for him.

Vitali had a very similar injury at age 27 and fought on. Then he incurred another similar injury on the opposite shoulder. Yet......he fought on.

Haye's injury occured before his 32nd B Day. And he's yet to make a fight, even against another lower top 50 fighter.

Im not saying haye shoulda fought injured vs Fury like Helenius did vs Chisora, or that had the injury occurred while he was winning 9-1 on the cards vs a light puncher, ie Vito v Byrd, that he should continue to finish the fight, but he should have been back already, even if it's just a few fights vs the likes of Danny Williams, KJ, or Gavern.

Just some light dustups to keep active, and maintain relevance.

As of now, he's 3 yrs removed from the ring and has one fight in the last 4 yrs.

Time to start fighting again, or he may as well shoot himself now, since he'll never know if he was truly the second best HW of his generation. :-(

I didn't believe he was coming back the last time he said he was and I don't believe him now. His shoulder injury was a career ending one, he was told to retire and he hasn't fought since. Even if he is able to make a come back I doubt he'll be the same fighter, not fought in 3 years and will likely be one armed.

I'll believe it when I see it. He's not young anymore and unless he's desperate he should stay retired.

Surprised Charr was not the choice. De Mori is pretty obscure.
