I can make up a routine, put it on a website and claim anyone done it.... See how that works?

And are you really that idiotic you think Brock done that routine when he was in the UFC?

BTW, 95% of the content of bodybuilding.com is absolute bull****.

To look at the basic routine that Bruce Lee used as he began weight training and call it what he did is a big mistake. After gaining the extra muscle he quickly worked to get rid of it. Bruce did continue with weight training, but his aims weren't to train like a body builder, he was completing each rep, set and workout as quickly as possible while hacking away at the unnessential exercises. Bruce's routines changed dramatically across his life time, that is the routine noted as his starting weights routine in the book 'The Art of Expressing the Human Body'.

I really doubt Bruce EVER got up to 165 lbs, at least from weights. Probably high 140s, 128 lbs and really thin at the time of his death.

I guess Floyd must be a pretty slow puncher too huh? Afterall, a punch is a punch.

Sorry but I'd rather take the opinions of some of these world class athletes who trained or met with Bruce over a guy on some forum who's had what, 5 amateur bouts?

Joe Lewis is an American kickboxer, point karate fighter, and actor. As a fighter, Lewis gained fame for his matches in the 1960s and 1970s. He has twice been voted the greatest fighter in karate history,[1] and has attained the titles of "United States Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion," "World Heavyweight Karate Champion," [2] and "United States National Black Belt Kata Champion." This is the sparring vid I was reffering to. Its obviously a very light spar but this was at an international karate event and Bruce obviously shows to be in a completely different league with very good timing and speed.

There's a certain way you need to lift. Lighter weights, more reps. I personally think body weight training would be more effective.

Except that we've all seen Floyd throw fast actual punches, and that's the only actual punching video of Bruce Lee. He's fast flicking his hands in play fights on the big screen, that is all we are sure of.

Eight. But by that logic you should take my opinion over Lee's because I had more fights

No, you had 8 more boxing matches, I guarantee Lee had more "fights".

Im following that same logic whereby Chuck Norris, Joe Lewis, Bob Wall all have had more official matches than you ever could in multiple lifetimes saying he was extremely fast, from first hand experience.

I'm merely demonstrating how ignorant you are, basing Lee's speed on one heavybag video? That's like if I've never seen any of Floyds fights but seen that heavybag video, despite judah, odlh telling me he's fast I would just dismiss it...I saw the video and declare him slow. Sure first hand accounts of world class athletes don't count.

He did? Are you sure? :think

I heard he kicked a punk in the shin once for harassing a women, his grandmother said he won it in round one. Must have been an awesome fight.

Yet you failed to address every other point and respond with sarcasm. What are you, a woman? Made yourself to look pretty stupid here.

The original source was his brother. I read the biography years ago and he says Lee kept knocking his opponents down but couldn't knock them out because he was using wing chun style punches and the gloves inhibited the pivotal wrist lockout which wing chun devotees claim creates the power in their style of punch.

The Floyd thing is that there are a lot of evidence to show he is fast, none from Bruce to show that he is superfast, fact is no one ever saw the man fight yet swear he is a great fighter, maybe apart from the sparring that seems they didnt want to hit the other hard at all, there are contradicting reports about his fights also,if I believed everything a fighter says I would have do to some pretty crazy things as some fighter who were champions swear by urine therapy and others are some crazy ass mofos,Bruce Lee reminds me of this part of the lecture from Sam Harris.
