Quick question. How significantly does Vitali Klitschko's return, and performance, effect David Haye's chances of running the divison in the future ? If Haye manages to beat Wladimir, Vitali will be waiting. Do you think his return has unnerved Haye ? Do you think it presents a more difficult path to the top of the Heavyweight division ? I think it makes it alot more interesting. I realise we need to first see how David performs againts Monte Barrett, then we can properly access Hayes chances against the best the divison had to offer. Thanks. That wasn't so quick ...:patsch

Anything can happen in boxing Thunder, as you know. Upsets happen, Haye's a big puncher and possesses alot of qualities, as does different Wladimir. All that's irrelevent at the moment, we need to first see how he performs.

Yes, I think Vitali's return is bad for haye. I could see haye beating any heavyweight out there...I think it's possible that he could do it impressively too. Vitali will beat any heavyweight he fights if he stays healthy however.

Haye would put up a heck of a better fight than Peter. Haye may very well lose, but he'll go in there use some speed, try to land some big shots, and avoid some too. You know...what proffesional boxers are supposed to do.

As long as Vitali has a title, and if Haye gets a title, they would never have to meet. The rules seem to be set up to disuade any unification. Of course, Haye plays by his own rules. He'll call out the best, even if it means he lose.

I honestly don't think it's in Haye's nature to avoid people, he'll take on anyone. Someone's bound to mention Steve Cunningham... I don't think he'll go down that route, he wants to test himself and truly see just how good he is, i don't think he'll avoid anyone..I take your points on board though...

is it just me that thought Vitali looked slow, unfit, with poor timing and not a lot of zip on his punches? I thought he was fairly poor, but then he has been out a while, Peter however was just god awful.

I'm probably in a minority, but I think Haye's speed and movement would give Vitali absolute nightmares and think he'd have an easier time than with Wlad due to how slow he looked. I think Vitali coming back just emphasised how **** the HW division is right now.

Haye will have 1 more fight after barrett...Vs one of the fringe contenders (chambers, arreola, peter etc.). After that, he'll fight Wlad. I can't see him fighting Vitali; that would be a horrible business decision.

That's a different way to look at things Jedi, thanks, i guess time will tell ? I think alot of people are seriously underestimating David Haye though..
