If guys like Rahman, Toney, Golota and Ruiz kept getting one titleshot after another just based on name, I do not see why Haye shouldn't.

Especially considering there are four titles available (or even more, as some organizations try to introduce more than one belt), and Vitali title(s) will probable get vacated in near future.

I just want to see a fight and not a ball room dancing contest. I hope Haye puts his balls where his mouth is.

    Who has Wlad beaten period?

Would you rather see Wlad take on a rated heavy ? How about 40year old Maskaev?
Or maybe another go at Rahman? :patsch

    Emmanuel Steward said it best:

"David Haye brings an excitement like Cassius Clay in 1963," he said. "I was training then and he was creating excitement just verbally in addition to knocking out guys.

"This is the first time I have seen anyone do what David Haye is doing. He hasn't even fought a quality heavyweight, he's got a knockout against Monte Barrett, a guy (Klitschko) knocked out about 10 years ago.

"But he's a genius to create this excitement, he's even got me excited. I wanted to go to training camp this week and Wlad said 'no', wait a couple more weeks. So there's a lot of excitement in this fight."

Yeah but weve seen guys sell fights like this, and thats all they did. When it came to fight night they stunk up the joint, or were completely outclassed. I hope for the sake of heavyweight boxing he backs up his words.

Your right theres noone. This guy is talking and creating some excitement which is great, and for that, yes lets put him in there and see what he can do. I just hope he fights like he says hes going to, Im not a fan of the klitschkos, or 99.9% of the heavyweight division at the moment.

There's nobody left at Heavyweight, combined with the fact that Haye was an Undisputed Cruiserweight and now creating all kinds of buzz. This is the most hyped Heavyweight fight since Lewis-Tyson and I am very excited. I hope Haye wins for the sake of boxing.

Wlad is fighting Haye because Wlad always take fights with people who has no business being in the ring with him. There are other natural heavyweights who deserve a title shot more than Haye but Wlad knows they would put up a better fight. Why not even give a guy like Cedrick Boswell a title shot? Wlad will continue to fight blown up cruiserweights, blown up middleweights, and morbidly obese clowns like Sam Peter because that is all he can beat.
