Man why cant there be more people like you? Does it not frustrate you that so many of your contrymen are out there perpetuating the stereotypical views we have about Americans? I was mainly playing devils advocate earlier but when you say things like you did above you at least put across decent rationale for voting Bush.

Back on boxing, personally I would like to have seen Haye back in action sooner but hey, he's a breath of fresh air to the division so I can wait a little longer. We need someone to liven things up a bit & if Haye is that man would it be such a bad thing. Rahman wouldn't be such a bad opponent.

Yes, you are clearly in the minority...I believe Bush has an approval rating somewhere in the single digits.

Arnold was hardly the saviour of California. If you are a voter you should remember the special election...in which every initiative Arnie attempted to get passed was rejected by the voters of this state.

Back to boxing...Haye has done nothing but talk big, and set his sights on damaged goods.

So who are the undamaged goods he should be targeting? Surely not James Roid Burger Toney?

To be fair, who is he supposed to set his sights on - they are all crap.

There is no objectivity to peoples criticism of Haye now he's talked some junk. I've even seen people ripping him for lining up Maskaev due to being old and shot and suggesting he fight a 42 year old crackhead like McCall instead :patsch

It's ridiculous. It's his first fight, as long as its a guy with some sort of pedigree its fine. Maskaev would have been that, Rahman would be.

Yes, if he is considering Rahman...that name should be scratched off the list and Toney should be penciled in.

Burgers...??? Rahman is a chin burger.

Why not? How does it look when you have Haye publicly calling out a man James "Roid Burger" Toney just outclassed? Haye is becoming a joke, he should have had a HW fight already.

Okay but he is hardly undamaged goods is he? He's clinically obese. You're one of those people that whoever he fights you'll criticise him for it. Admit it.

Becoming a joke? Coming from the 10K marathon man. <<< People really need to read this joker.

Haye went to Paris & beat Mormeck, then destroyed Macca. Who was the last American big man to do anything that impressive? Thompson lying down in front of Klitschko didn't look too impressive to me.:rofl

and besides that what did pavlik do to you other than give you great fights? he isnt one dimensional he totally outboxed taylor in the rematch, outboxed lockett the rocket and totally whipped his ass, outboxed miranda and knocked him out, he is undefeated and you cant argue with that. he hasnt dodged anyone has he? has anyone outboxed him? and because he is a blue collar guy from youngstown that makes him a yokel? is the blue coller lad from manchester just some yokel from manchester? what makes a yokel, ive heard several of kelly pavliks interviews and he is pretty well spoken. alot more so than alot of other heavyweights that want to axe you a question, talk **** about people for no reason other than to hype themselves upand dont go out running when they are in training because they like their cigars. you hear me James Toney?

Pavlik is getting way overhyped though. Who has he beaten besides Taylor really? The Lockett fight was a gross mismatch & should never have happened. We have the crappy WBO to thank for that one. Pavlik should really be fighting Abraham but now Arum thinks he has easy pickings with Hopkins but I happen to think it will backfire badly.

I apologise for the Yokel comment, I was really just ****ing with the morons on this thread.

All this name calling etc is ridiculous. I am British and frankly I do not wish to see Haye fight Rahman or Toney as I do not see either as Top heavyweights but more as veteran former champs. It does seem to me from Haye's comments he is looking to fight Rahman though, and while it is not a bout that would garner much respect from me or other knowledgable boxing fans (regardless of where we are from) it would hopefully put Rahman out of the title picture, and maybe then he would see sense and retire.

    Yank speaking.

Haye is the goods IMO but he knows he has a better chance of "looking good" against a Rahman as opposed to James Toney who still at an advance age boxing ability is unreal..

No. I won't critisize him for whoever he fights. If he fought Barrett, that would be fine with me. You can't run your mouth like he did, and then fight Hasim though...it's a joke.

Right now Barrett is tougher than Rahman. Rahman is over at the upper level. James Toney is still very competitve at any level in the division. His chances are good vs most, while Rahman's no longer are.

What about Eddie Chamber's...??? Tua, is making a little noise, and he never turned into a Rahman. Arreola is an overrated contender who Barrett should try to get rid of.

Sure, everybody is in negotiations, but that's always the case...make the right offer and you make the fight.

That's why a victory over Toney is still valued...and it's something Haye should covet.

Yeah, but from Haye's point of view he doesn't want to fill out the o2 and have Toney stink out the joint (from a casual fans viewpoint anyway)

He wants a fight where he can look good. That's not to say a pushover, but somebody that will fight him, potentially bring some excitement (outside of the press conference) and eventually get knocked out. It's all about the marketing.
