As soon as Haye fights a legit Heavyweight (whenever that is) he will get his Glass Jaw shattered into a million pieces. He won't be fighting Enzo Macranelli or John Marc Mormeck that is for sure.

Haye needs to quit talking and get in the ring first though.

Haye/Macca was a big fight for Britain, thats all. Haye only made weight for cruiser so he didn't leave unfinished business with Macca & Warren here. Surely you cant begrudge us a big domestic showdown?

That could easily be said for Haye-Rahman though too, right...???

One time Lewis conqueror and former HW champ vs. Haye in his HW debut at home...

That's why this **** needs to be squashed before it even gets off the ground. It suckers in the general public and ill informed, when followers of the sport know it's a joke.

Nobody is going to be complaining if Haye gets a shot a Klitschko and knocks his pathetic ass out.

That is what this whole debacle hinges on. He's going to look like a ****ing clown if he loses that fight, no matter how he gets there. That is the be all and end all.

No because for a start it wouldn't be a domestic showdown. The Haye/Macca fight was big over here & people enjoyed the build up. As for squashing it, a load of people expressing discontent on an internet forum is hardly going to make a difference is it?

That was me. I also gave reasons why McCall is a tougher challenge for Haye than Maskaev.

I haven't even heard your reasons, but yes...I'd also consider McCall a tougher challenge. At their worn states, with the chin being the last thing to go...McCall is tougher than OLEG.

Yeah, and it still looked pretty ridiculous when your main reasons for Maskaev being a bad choice were him being old and shot.

Then you suggest a middle aged crackhead.

'spark Toney early rounds KO' - now that's some stupid crap...
Nobody even seriously hurt Toney in 80 pro fights, and he fought much better fighters then Haye. And now you think Haye would just knock him out, early rds at that??! You delusional.

As for nobody wanting to fight Haye, Toney is looking for an opponent and publicly stated that he wants a fight with Haye, but the usually big-mouthed David Haye has been quiet like a mouse about that possibility. Because Haye wants no piece of Toney, and we all know why.

You hate Wlad and Haye equally Suge.

What are you going to do if this fight pops off.

I actually like Haye...I think he does breath some much needed life into a division that lacks personality. I'm just not completely sold that he is a force at HW. He has the power to be a major player, but how will he do when his chin gets tested? That is my major concern. I hope that he does well and that he is the "truth". I think he'd be a tremendous HW champ with some appeal. But in order to do that he has to be brought along in the HW division with some thought. Jumping in to a fight with JT might not be his best bet. So i do see why he'd choose a safer fight in Rahman, but of course that will be met with a bunch of critisim from fight fans.

Toney's a fat piece of garbage, Haye is the future.

    Haye KO1 Rahman
    Haye KO1 Toney

Rahman will be just a KO waiting to happen as he is shopworn and has had trouble with the like of Taurus Sykes and Zuri Lawrence and is not a credible opponent, although having said that he is ranked No.4 by the IBF and maybe this is what Haye's people are looking at aart from an easy win over a big name. Wlad has the IBF title and if Haye beat Rahman (which to me is a given), then he would garner a good ranking by the IBF bringing a Klitschko v Haye bout closer.

Ok, I'll explain it again... Maskaev looked really bad in his last two fights against Okhello and especially against Peter, and don't expect him to do better now. To me he seems just shot. Plus he got a shaky chin. You know I'm not a big fan of Haye, but he would probably knock him out before the 6th rd. And it would prove absolutely nothing.
Of course McCall is also old and past his prime, but at least he would give Haye a tough fight for 12 rds. Because he won't get knocked out and he still comes to fight. Look at his last fights, old Oli McCall may get outboxed because he's slow now (like Gomez did), but he has something left and gives his opponents some real trouble, and he also still has that big right hand. BTW it's been 10 years since McCall was a crackhead, the man is in good shape for his age. If Haye could get past McCall he would prove the boxing world that he's a legitimate HW contender, this would prove so much more than beating Maskaev or Rahman right now...

I do actually agree, I just found your reasoning funny the first time. It's obvious McCall presents some danger in that he can punch and not get knocked out.

However, I don't want to see the guy taking anymore punches. His chin is too good for his own good, he doesn't need to be taking them off a young guy that is so much quicker he'll tag him at will.
