No, he was talking about stupid people from America, which there are plenty(plenty from Europe also, in some cases, more so), you included. I am not from America, but I am a legal resident, pay tax etc. here.

There is no way he was calling anybody who happens to be an American, ignorant, he was saying it over a percieved stereotype that only makes up a certain block percentage of the population, and if you aren't apart of that percentage, it should not have even offended you. But since you are "seemingly" apart of that percentage, it did.

Why don't we all judge things on the individual level and leave the generalisations at the door. You want to talk about ignorant and stupid people? I'd say 75% the entire world is ignorant and stupid, people that intelligent people would loathe if they met, it's never just a nationalistic or cultural thing, it's a global epidemic still kept strong by backwards politics...

So, can we all get-a-long as boxing fans?:good

It's called humour. You could do with finding a bit of it. Lighten up, it's a boxing forum.

I think that both Suge White and Dan-B didn't mean anything bad with ill feelings, but things came off wrong.

To answer that question I would hope he was talking about how some Americans(in humorous light of couse), just normal day to day working class civilians, feel they are actually apart of wars and what goes on in being the world's biggest superpower, when they aren't. I think the 'polishing guns' comment was in referrance to some types of American gun nuts and the like, a stereotype that will blab off all sorts of ignorant comment in a testerone influenced boastful way while acting like owning a firearm is some form of political independance.:yep

Hey and don't take that wrong if you're a right wing firearm owner/enthusiast, I am a firearm owner, but I'll tell you, those 'gun nut' guys are irritating and laughable and you'll meet many of them if you go to match competitions and the like.

Another thing that intrigues is when people talk about what their nation did or their ethnic background before they were even born like they and their current peers were apart of something that happened 60 years ago. Such as WW2, I mean, none of us were alive, my father wasn't even alive, we had nothing to do with that and have no right to comment on it but in a historical analysis and not use it as ammunition to justify current political and cultural standings, as it's ancient history and past generations lived it.

I really don't feel that any of this **** matters on a boxing forum.:deal

Yup some of the comments were pushing acceptable boundaries, however, I was almost being ironic in that some of the threads this week have been so irrational that I was meeting them with the same vitriol. So yes it has no place on a forum but neither do 90% of the "quit", "hype job" or general hate threads. Lets keep it sensible & not lose sight of the fact we're meant to be fellow enthusiasts discussing a shared passion.

Nationalistic tribe is stuff to run back to in a discussion when you can't stand on your own.:yep

The SuperPunchOut poster is a prime example, retorting to Suge White in the wrong way.
